Founded in 2006 DJI, which stands for Dà-Jiāng Innovations has Propelled itself to the to- of the foodchain in the worldwide drone industry. No other company has come close to contesting DJI’s innovation and ability to retain consumer loyalty throughout the product lifecycle. DJI’s stable of products have gained a cult like following along the lines of Apple and canon products in which users simply swear by the current product and eagerly await the arrival of the updated version without question of jumping ship to another manufacturer.

DJI is the dominant market leader in the civilian drone industry, accounting for over 70 percent of the world’s drone market.

In 2017, DJI won a Technology & Engineering Emmy Award for its camera drone technology, which was recognized for excellence in engineering creativity, providing directors and cinematographers an affordable and accessible platform to create low-altitude aerial images, opening up creative possibilities and facilitating the distinct looks of some TV shows.
